Advanced Network Devices Names Industry Powerhouse Bobby Swartz President, Marking a New Era of Growth and Innovation

Proven leader joins Founder and CEO Brian Donahoe to accelerate innovation, expand market presence and reshape the future of safety and mass notification technology

Arlington Heights, IL — November 4, 2025 — Advanced Network Devices (ANetD), a leader in mass notification and safety technologies, today has named Bobby Swartz as its new President. A proven industry transformer at Midwich US, formerly Starin, Swartz will join Founder and CEO Brian Donahoe in driving the company’s next era of growth, innovation and market disruption.

Swartz is recognized as a dynamic leader with a track record of scaling businesses, redefining markets and inspiring teams to deliver breakthrough results. At Starin, later Midwich US, where he was already instrumental in ANetD’s growth while at both companies, he led the transformation of a regional distributor into a global powerhouse. There, he pioneered new solutions and forged strategic partnerships that set industry standards.

Swartz’s ability to align vision with execution, and his deep knowledge of ANetD and the markets it serves, make him uniquely equipped to accelerate Advanced Network Devices’ growth, strengthen its innovation pipeline and expand its leadership in the evolving safety and communications technology space.

“Joining Advanced Network Devices is both exciting and deeply meaningful to me,” Swartz said. “This company builds technology that truly protects people and makes a difference every day. I’ve known Brian and the team for years and have always admired their ingenuity and engineering excellence. The opportunity to help lead ANetD into its next phase of growth — expanding its reach and deepening its impact on safety — is something I couldn’t pass up.”

“Bobby has understood the value of our products since the very beginning — he was actually the first person to really sell them en masse”, said Brian Donahoe, Founder and CEO of Advanced Network Devices. “His passion, vision and customer focus make him an ideal leader for this next chapter. With his product and market expertise and our engineering-driven culture, we’re ready to accelerate innovation and growth while staying true to our mission of making public spaces informed and safer.”

This leadership expansion follows several major innovation milestones at ANetD, including the launch of the Large HD IP Display, IP panic buttons and the Vigilar Threat Detection Suite. By significantly strengthening its executive team with the addition of Swartz, the company is poised to accelerate the rollout of innovative solutions, deepen relationships with customers and partners and expand its presence in key markets.

Advanced Network Devices was founded as a result of a design project led by Donahoe. What began as a custom development project evolved into the company’s first IP speaker — setting the stage for ANetD to become a pioneer in IP-based mass notification technologies. ANetD’s products are designed, assembled and supported in the USA, backed by one of the most experienced and accomplished engineering teams in the industry.

Together, Donahoe and Swartz aim to advance ANetD’s mission to make public spaces safer through technology — continuing the company’s tradition of innovation, integrity and impact.
